...:: Visiting ::...Heh. I got duit Raya! The start of the day was okay. The apologies were easy. There weren't any crying. At least not me la. My mom and my granny always cry. No matter what. Tears will definately fall. The first house we went to was of course Nani's house. She cooked Ceylonese Nasi Lemak. Very Nice!! And we had fried chicken, sambal udang, rendang and butter beef curry [or according to Shakes, Beef of God. Don't ask me why]. After the salam2 and minta maaf session, we headed for Aunty Siti's house at Bukit Panjang. Everyone was there. Orang2 Malaysia was also there. Argh, I can't stand Lil Miss Princess. Ever since she got married, she acts as if it has made her mature! Watdefaq! I mean, big fark la u got married. So what?? Konon2 da bini orang, da MATURE. Ape Jer. Anyway, at Aunty Siti's place everyone was saying this to me.... "Wah, makin lawa eh dia!" [Translation - Wow! She's getting prettier and prettier!] Heh. Obviously I just smiled at them. I mean, you can't expect me to say, "Of course la"!Uncle Hafil was there too. He has cancer. The doctor told him he has only 6 months to live. This is his 7th month. Hopefully he lives a lil longer. He's in stage 3 or 4. I can't remember, but I know it's really critical. He looks so different now. He doesn't look like the uncle I know. He's real sweet though. Called me Princess, and Dear and all sortsa sweet things. I guess he's just doing what he can to make people happy while he still can. It's so sad really. His youngest son is only 11. But at least he still has his eldest son. None of his other sons seem to care much about him. And at least he got to see his grandchild before he goes. When he apologised to Nani, both of them cried and and hugged for the longest time. Haiz. Then we went to see Nani La, followed by Nani Nona, then er....Datuk's Kak Ngah, our nenek-ngah?? Heh. Supposed to go to Nani Jan's house, but 'cos it's more important for the adults to go and Aunty Izan spent a bomb on her taxi fare, the kids had to go home so that all of them can fit in the car. It was fun though. We met the "Dark Side" of the family. They are this family who's Islam is not the right one... Anyway, that side of the family of which not all of them belong to the "dark side" [It's only 1 family that's "dark"] has alot of...well... Mats. And EVERY year, when they see me... they'll start whispering and asking each other, "Who's that??" [That meaning ME!]. And it's not like they do it discretely! It's so obvious! And they just stare at me as if I'm ALIEN! Gawd it's annoying!! I feel like going up to them and saying, "Hi, nama saya Sharmila. Kalau awak nak kenal saya, TANYA!" [Translation - Hi, my name is Sharmila. If you want to get to know me, ASK ME!]Ok, so I'm totally stuffed right now. Oh! When we reached City Hall, I just couldn't help myself. I went to Roxy and bought myself a coin purse. Will take pix and put up on blog... SOON! Heh.Anyway, at Aunty Siti's house, Uncle Ahmad has 2 HUGE Aligator fish like Khai's, an Arowana, almost TEN Oscars! Black, White, and the kind that Khai has! I think if Khai went there, he would just go berzerk!Argh!! I'm tired. Gonna take pix now... Tata!!Labels: ...:: Hari Raya ::...
